Fujitsu Commences Full-Scale Operation of HOKUSAI - SailingShip, RIKEN's New Data Science Infrastructure
Fujitsu today announced that, together with RIKEN, it has completed deployment of a new data science infrastructure, HOKUSAI - SailingShip. RIKEN procured and implemented this system with the goal of facilitating the processing and utilization of enormous and high-quality research data generated through research activities. After a trial operation from June 2020, the system commenced operation on October 19.

Fujitsu Limited and Banking Channel Solutions Limited in collaboration with Mizuho Information & Research Institute, Inc. today announce that they have developed and delivered a tablet solution for Mizuho Bank, Ltd. that enables customers to make deposits and withdrawals, complete bank transfers, open accounts, and change addresses directly from tablet PCs at branch offices. The companies offer tablet devices as subscription services and the total service of operation and multi-vendor hardware maintenance support.

Fujitsu and PeptiDream Achieve Milestone in Joint Research for Peptide Drug Candidates with High-Speed, High-Precision Exploration Technology
Fujitsu Limited and PeptiDream Inc. today announced that the two companies have succeeded in identifying, based on in-silico exploration, stable conformations of a cyclic peptide drug candidate within a 12-hour period.This represents a milestone achieved by utilizing high-performance computing (HPC) technology and Fujitsu's Digital Annealer technology, a novel computing architecture that rapidly solves combinatorial optimization problems, which can now be applied to cyclic peptide drug discovery.
