    Fujitsu Develops AI-Based Technology to Retrieve Similar Disease Cases in CT Inspections
    Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced development of a technology to retrieve similar disease cases from a computed tomography (CT) database of previously taken images. The technology, jointly developed with Fujitsu R&D Center Co., Ltd., works by retrieving similar cases of abnormal shadows expanding in a three-dimensional manner.

    K computer takes first place for the second consecutive time on HPCG benchmark
    On June 19, the K computer took first place for the second consecutive time in the HPCG benchmark, a new index developed to create a more realistic view of supercomputer performance compared to the commonly used LINPACK benchmark. This success, which surpasses the second place achieved in 2014 and 2015, was made possible by subsequent improvements of the performance of the system and applications.

    Fujitsu to Build Taiwan's Top-Performing Supercomputer for the National Center for High-performance Computing
    Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Taiwan Limited today announced that they will build a new supercomputer system for Taiwan's National Center for High-performance Computing, National Applied Research Laboratories (NCHC) that will have the highest performance in the country at the time it commences operations, scheduled for May 2018. The new system will serve as the core platform for research and development in Taiwan, fostering the development and growth of Taiwan's overall industries and economy.

    Fujitsu Laboratories' Honorary Fellow Takashi Mimura Honored with Kyoto Prize for HEMT Invention
    Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced that Dr. Takashi Mimura, an honorary fellow at Fujitsu Laboratories, will receive the Kyoto Prize in the category of Advanced Technology in the 2017 Kyoto Prize ceremony to be held by the Inamori Foundation. The award ceremony will take place on November 10 at the Kyoto International Conference Center.

    Fujitsu Receives Order from Kyushu University for New Top-Class Supercomputer System
    Fujitsu today announced that it has received an order from the Research Institute for Information Technology at Kyushu University for a new supercomputer system, which will steadily ramp up operations starting in October 2017.
